Probably, but you don't mention what the address was attached to? What was the pitch?

Re: International Bankl OF Ghana

The person identified themselves as the Director of foreign funds accounts and wanted me to assist them in retrieving funds from an account where the owner had died and left 10 million dollars. He wanted me to claim it as a beneficiary and he would take 80% and use it for himself so the government would not claim it and it go to waste in his country.

Really great that not even the Bank of India would respond to that one when I asked them if they even knew him.

From: The Manager,
International Commercial Bank Ghana
First Light Branch
Accra, Ghana.
E-mail------- mezra35@excite.com

Hi

I know you would be surprised to receive this mail, as we have no formal contacts. Micheal Ezra is my name and I am the manager of the International Commercial Bank Ghana, First Light Branch Accra Ghana. I am writing to solicit your kind assistance in a transfer deal of US$7,500.000.000, This fund is the excess of the profit made in this branch of the International Commercial Bank Ghana in the year 2004. As the manager of the bank, I have already submitted an approved End of the Year report for the year 2004 to my Head Office here in Dubai-UAE and they will never know of this Excess. I have since then, placed this amount of US$ 7,500.000.000 on a SUSPENCE ACCO! UNT without a beneficiary.

As an officer of the bank, I cannot be directly connected to this money thus I am impelled to request your assistance to receive this money in your bank account. I intend to part 30% of this fund to you while 70% shall be for me. I do need to stress that there are practically no risk involved in this. It's going to be a simple bank-to-bank transfer. All I need from you is to stand claim as the original depositor of this fund. If you accept this offer, I will appreciate your timely response, as I have meticulously planned a swift transfer of the fund to any account you will nominate.
Your earliest response would be appreciated.

With regards,
Micheal Ezra

Re: International Bankl OF Ghana

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they were, I got one from some lady that said that she was trying to get her money from the bank and that she was from Afganistan,

I in turn sent it to the Vice President of the United States, of course I didn't hear anything back.
 hahaha

No, Because I get checked every time I fly anyway, Thanks to my EX- Father in Law.
Funny story behind that, he had something happen to him at age 72, he was going to a funeral and (his home had been broken into several times) he forgot that he had hidden his gun in his luggage, oopps, needless to say anyone with our last name is on the watch list to be checked,

:o

Re: International Bankl OF Ghana

I get these every now and then. They are a scam. All these people are after is your money. If you respond to them, they'll start delaying everything and charge you a bunch of fees to get the process going. You'll lose a lot of money in the end, and might even become a victim of identity theft. If you get these emails, just delete them.
