Re: Has anyone heard of american financing?

I have, I started to buy a house using them and after numerous inconsistent and poor customer service. I decided to change lenders.

The manager I have worked with there is very unprofessional and this company has done things that might be considered very unethical. Maybe not illegal, but not professional for certain.

Proceed with caution is all I have to say.

Re: Has anyone heard of american financing?

I'm not sure what seacow is reffering to. Sounds like an unhappy panda employee that left there.

I've worked with other loan officers in the past, until a friend referred us to American Financing. This is the first time that everything was explained to us in detail. We really appreciate how all of our options are clearly laid out for us! We assumed that getting a mortgage would be a big headache! Not any more! We couldn't be happier! That's why I tell everyone who even hints at needing a mortgage about our loan specialist. This is the thrid time my wife and I have used them. They make everything so easy for us. They are great at taking us under thier wing and finding us the best possible rate! They also worked diligently to help my son get into his first home. They were there every step of the way. In fact, they went out of thier way to work around his busy full-time work schedule. They took the time to explain everything not only to him - but to me as well! It's sure nice working with mortgage professionals my whole family trusts. Five Smileys!

Re: Has anyone heard of american financing?

I had heard about them in NC, advertising on the Glenn Beck radio show. So, I had hoped they were trustworthy. Glenn endorses them, he says they're "different".
I applied for a mortgage as was pre-qualified, and met with the loan officer in about 24 hours. I filled out about 300 pages of paperwork, provided 3 years worth of W-2's, and my last few pay stubs. Everything they asked for, in about 2 days. I Really liked this loan officer, she was great. She said they would start the official pre-approval process. And then.....nothing. I've heard nothing in 2 months.
That seems Highly Unprofessional to me. And, extremely weird.
I'm going to call them when I get the first break in my hectic life. I'll post more when I find out what happened.
