Virtual Assistants, is this a SCAM or Legit?

There hasn't been much written on this new Work at Home scheme. I read a book by Christine Durst and Michael Haaren called The 2 Second Commute. The VA sounds very interesting and seems like a promising Work at Home thing but I need more information. I have seen alot of information out on the Internet when I Google and cannot make heads or tails on if this is legit. Has anyone ever done the VA or currently a VA and what kind of money are we talking here is involved, how does one get leads to bring in a steady cash flow. There are several Certifications out there that seem very spendy. I would appreciate as much information from other posters.

If you have any prior experience, no certification is required

Re: Virtual Assistants, is this a SCAM or Legit?

I basically am a VA for real estate investors, however I work for a local company that hires people to come in and work for these investors. They send us leads to call in, we charge for the leads, and I get paid a certain rate per hour. If I were to do something like this at home, I would probably charge for how many calls I made and more for ones that were completed.

Lisan23, your answer doesn't really answer my question. I am looking for information on if this is a Scam or if Virtual Assistants are legit and if there are anyother people on this board that are VA that can give me some insight on the this new evolving field.
