Re: Is Dataentrycompany.com Legit Or A Fake

There are a lot of websites that have free lists of legitimate wah companies including the few who hire for data entry. My website has a list (follow the telecommuting link), zaneypops has a list and so does wahm. Legitimate companies don't charge a one time fee of $49.95 or whatever, you just fill out an application and interview and test, etc. If you want to learn how to place and pay for ads on adwords using clickbank links as an affiliate then the dataentrycompanys information might be for you. Truth be told though, that same information is out there for free all over the internet.

yeah sure, this seems like a logical post. I highly doubt it was created for anyone to chime in and add their 2 cents with a link back to their site.

If it was a scam post then so be it.. If it's someone who really wants help then why not give them help? You will noticed I mentioned MORE than just my own site as reference points? Get the bug out of your butt and try to offer more than sarcasm.. you might be a happier person in the end.

DataEntryCompany: Real? Facts from an ex-member.

On February 29th 2008, I came across a website called DataEntryCompany.com. You've probably heard of it or you wouldn't be looking at this page now. They claim that over 21,256 people worldwide who joined them are now living the life you dream of. Being curious I first googled the web for experiences others might have had with them. The articles I found all sounded surprisingly positive - gee, I now wonder who wrote these - so I registered with them, paid US$49,- using my credit card, eager to finally start making some money as promised on their website. Having received a confirmation email, I logged in on their site and started going through their instructional steps which are as follows.

Step 1.
They're of course first welcoming you to their member's area, saying they're glad that you have decided to follow your dreams of a better life and stuff like that, reminding you that this is not an hourly position and that, unlike those who work on an hourly basis, you are paid for your performance, not simply the time you invest in the program. The companies you later on choose to work with will be paying you commission. You can make money ($5 to $75) for each sale that your ad leads to.

They then ask you to check that you have what is needed to succeed, which are 4 things:
1) an active internet connection
2) concentration
3) a credit card; they suggest you keep your credit card ready in case you decide to sign up for an ad program such as Google Adwords, to help you increase your money-making potential.
4) perseverance

Step 2.
Visit ClickBank, setup a free account and tell them where all those soon-to-be-received-bank-cheques are to be sent to.

Step 3.
Setup a partner and select the industry and company you'd like to work with.

Step 4.
Have your own website. - Pardon me? What do I need my own website for?

Their explanation is that Yahoo Advertising which you will be introduced to in the next step, does not allow more than one linking partner per URL per keyword. By having your own multi-page website, you have access to many URLs and you can - as they say it - thus join many different companies to your site.

If you already have your own website, you're a step ahead of the game. If you don't, no problem. DataEntryCompany is there to help you out. They offer you your own website for $4.95 per month, saying that "that's a real steal!"

Well, I do have my own site, in fact I have several, so there's no additional cost for me there. But let's take a look at the next step, shall we?

The next step was my wake-up call and says it's necessary to sign up with Yahoo! Search Marketing which, you've guessed it, is far from free. Without going into full details as to what Yahoo! Search Marketing exactly is, I can tell you that each time a web visitor clicks on your ad, a certain amount of money is deducted from your Search Marketing account which you have to pay for.

I have setup both Yahoo! Search Marketing and Google Adwords accounts in the past when one of my previous employers asked me to and believe me, it's definitely not something you can learn in a day, let alone minutes if you're not familiar with internet marketing.

My advise is, do not get involved with DataEntryCompany.

Cheers, Danny

Real legitimate data entry job is very very hard to come by. There are just a few legit companies offer real data entry jobs that I know of:

Axion Data
Dion Data
Key for Cash
Working Solutions

Good luck to you!

Key for Cash is a legit company, but they have a long waiting list. Apply for transcription jobs, some companies hire even if you do not have experience.

Re: DataEntryCompany: Real? Facts from an ex-membe

DataEntryCompany is based in India and never responds to any message sent to them. They say that "a person will reply within 24 hours" but that never happens. You can email them at support@dataentrycompany.com but don't hold your breath for a reply.
They list their India address in West Bengal if you wish to send them a letter. Good luck.
A valid company will always reply to your messages.
And their add that your hosting fee is a "meager $4.95 per month"...actually, you must pay $119 for a 2-year web hosting.
Not a good or honest way to do business.

Re: Is Dataentrycompany.com Legit Or A Fake

scam scam scam

this is ridiculous. they claim the price is $97 to join or do a 'special offer" by signing up for a credit card or netflix or newsletters- of course im trying to save money not spend it, so i did a special offer which initially hasnt cost me anything yet.

then once you complete all that junk, you go back to the dataentrycompany.com to continue registering.

once you log in, the site mentions all these "super bonuses" that will "help" you earn money- NOT FREE, by the way, they are just more ads.

finally you get to the bottom of this page and it says "link to members area". mind you, the original ad for this company brags on their members area as a strong selling point, due to how easy it is to use and how you can log on 24-7. NOPE. i attempted to log on with the passssword they provided me and instead was sent to an error message saying the page wasnt found. my connection and security settings are good. i even tried getting to a help page from their site but of course, that wasnt found either. see for yourself " http://www.DataEntryCompany.com/Contact.html for any further help** "

hmmm

I went to the "contact us" page and submitted a form requesting log in help. allegedly they contact you in 24 hours. yeah, maybe if this error didnt show up? it said something like "the owner of this form cannot accept any more requests for september"

so im sitting here with my thumb up my butt, thanking goodness i didnt pay the actual $97

dont join this company. how can you expect to make money from a company who cant even help you at the door??

thanks to all the previous posts with helpful links.

I am working full time, but need an additional work at home job so I can save for a house.

good luck to everyone
