Ion Cleanse
My wife has been convinced that device called an Ion Cleanse is a worthwhile unit.
There are a lot of confessionals about how this device has healed everything from arthritis to cancer.
IT works by putting your feet in a bath of salt ***** and dropping in a "mouse sized device". As far as I can tell, this device puts a voltage across some plates inside the "mouse"
This is supposed to push ions through your body and pull out harmful ions.
This sounds like a complete scam. They want $35/session.
Online they have plenty of people saying that there is no scientific evidence of it doing anything.
Have any of you heard anything about the Ion Cleanse?

Re: Ion Cleanse
The same stupid health scam as magnet ring or blue stuff.

This would be funny if it did not cost people money.
From www.antiaginghealthzone.com practitioner.
Quote:
What diseases or conditions can I treat with the ionCleanse?
A.
The ionCleanse does not heal or cure disease or any condition. It pulls toxins out of the body. If your patient's problem is caused by a toxic buildup that the ionCleanse dissolves, it may be diminished by the detoxification, but certainly not cured. Do not make claims because results are unpredictable. Frequent detoxification with the ionCleanse gives people a greater sense of wellbeing and helps them to feel better.
|
As you see even honest practitioners say it does not cure anything. Also "helps them to feel better" usually translates into "we have no scientific evidence but if we convince enough people we will get nice placebo effect".

Re: Ion Cleanse
I registered just so that I can comment on this topic.
The Ion Cleanse is nothing but a scam. I used to work in a alternative chiropractors office and this was one of the things we used. We describe the treatment like this: Through osmosis the ion cleanse will pull out negative toxins from your body through your feet.
To set up the machine we placed it in a square bucket, added *****, plugged in the ion machine, had them place there feet in, added salt to the ***** to get the right PH balance. Then 30 minutes later we cleaned them up. The price was $25.00 and it is recommended to do 12 sessions to throughly cleanse your body. we also had this array that we scanned over the liver and kidneys for 25 seconds.
People do believe in it, I sure don't. Half the time the ***** looked the same from everyone, there was a piece of paper where it explained the colors in the *****, but mostly the ***** turned black.
I don't think this product works, I really don't. I actually quit working there because of this, I could not recommend this to people when I did not believe in it.

I have tried numerous products and the only cleanse that has worked for me is a colon cleanse. have tried numerous alternative health products but I think the ion cleanse sounds silly

Re: Ion Cleanse
I am a distributer of a similar product, and I have to say first hand (someone who has tried it) this device is nothing but incredible.
2 days ago I gave a free session to a 9yo girl with severe arthritis in her fingers and toes she has been to every doctor imaginable. The next day she was able to touch her index finger to her thumb, something she hasn't been able to do in a year.
Same day the unit was tested on a man with Muscular Dystrophy he suffers from swollen feet, the girth on his feet is 2 to 2-1/2" wider than normal. During the foot bath all 3 people in the room noticed the ***** level rising in the tub, his feet were back to almost normal size by the end of the foot bath and he slept like a baby that night.
I have a client with food allergies that used to itch after every meal. after her first three treatments the itching went away. Now she has had 8 sessions and she comes in every 5 weeks for maintenance, no more itching no more pills every day.
these are just 3 stories, I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone!
If you have any questions I will be happy to assist.

Not quite Moses parting waves, but funny. Most of those bullsh$t "products" operate on this kind of testimonials.

Re: Ion Cleanse
You know.. the placebo effect is very real. There are people that can get addicted to chalk pills because they swear it makes them feel better.
Thats why there is a condition called the placebo effect.
Mind over matter. I have heard plenty of stories of people taking what they are told is a cure-all elixer and actually healing faster and feeling better even when the person selling it admits it was just *****ed down whiskey.
And look at all of the people that get sick because they think they should get sick. Astounding.
So I think I'll go with SCAM on the ion cleanse. If I know its a scam it loses the placebo effect as I won't think it might help. Sorry.

Re: Ion Cleanse
I must say I have not been on this site before, I find it quite interesting that the negative comments are coming from people who have not experienced this type of detox. The one comment (quote#3)from the person who worked with it was inaccurate because the array does not scan the liver and kidneys, the array is what sits in the ***** to generate ions in the *****, wherefore if he was familiar with the process he would know that. Ion cleansing is taken very seriously by marketers of the product as well as practitioners. They experience clientele that do have health issues from toxicity, or toxic buildup which is irritating an existing condition. As far as wanting scientific proof? Where has that gotten us so far, the pharmaceutical companies are creating conditions to accompany the new pills they've made for a multi billion dollar business! The North American society is pumped up on so many drugs, and where is the scientific proof for them? Do you insist on that evidence as you are reaching for your prescription from your Dr.? Side effects that damage our bodys natural metabolism, stresses our organs and immune systems.
There are many unconventional alternative methods of detox, including ion cleansing that many people do obtain positive benefits from. The challenge really, is finding what works for you. You'll know because you can feel it. You don't need proof to feel great after swimming in the ocean, or walking in the early morning forest, absorbing life. Ion cleansing was made to create that similar effect. I do not mean to disappoint any of you but ion cleansing was not developed to scam people! Info at http://seawalkspa.ca

to answer your question, the scientific research for the many medications that are being sold in this country are everywhere. high blood pressures, imbalanced livers, low white blood cell counts....
its true there are cases of abuse, mostly the pills pyschiatrists peddle, where the med-taker has only emotional problems. most people who take those meds are idiots, but if it makes them normal (placebo effect or not), then go for it.

So your defense to being called a scam is that the pharmecutical companies are scamming people so you must be real?
Sure many drugs probably make people sicker or cause unreasonable side effects, but that doesn't add one bit of credibility to your scam.

Two things to mention. Nowhere on any ion cleanse site does any doctor say that you will have any health benifits.
The ion cleanse will do the exact same job on ***** with no feet in there. So if it pulls ions out of the *****, why not just bathe in de-ionized *****?
scam.

Re: Ion Cleanse
I dont hope to convince anyone because most of you are too Bull headed to believe anything new, but i have to speek my mind. What makes you so convinced that it is fake when you have no proof??!! You ask for proof too see if it is real, but none to see if it is fake!! It is possible to have a neutral stance until adequate research is given. You just cant sit there and make up your oppinionated mind that its fake without any evidence, its absolutely ludicrous!! Besides the ***** only changes to an orange color without feet in it. when there is feet then there are all kinds of floaties, black and green stuff, and heavy metals in it. I have done 6 sessions with it and each time there was less stuff in it and the ***** looked better each time. I have also seen many other people do it and each person has differant results. I have enough evidence to know that there is no way that it can be fake. Where in the world would those colors and floaties come from they are not in the ***** and they are not coming out of the machine and there is no way that they are coming from the bucket or any other place but my body. I will watch a fairly clean person come out with clean ***** and the next person is dirtier than a septic tank. You cant fake that!!!!

That's false. I have hard ***** in my municipality. It turned orange with floaties right away. With no feet in it at all.

Aye, but that is where you are dead wrong. There are disoved solids and many ions in the *****. Especially if it is treated or hard *****. Chloirine, Iron, sulfer... all have alowable limits in the ***** supply.

Again false based on information from the company, the paddles decay with time and need to be replaced periodically. This means they are dumping ions in the *****, one molecule at a time the paddles disolve.

You say the device removes ions from the *****. Which then pull them out of your body. This sounds like it might be possible, but it is the same proces by which a battery works. If you remove all the ions out of the *****, the ***** is now de-ionized, and does not conduct electricity, so you cannot possibly be pulling anything out of your body. It would just be dispersing into the *****.
At most all you are doing is cleaning your feet really really well. The amount of dirt on feet even if you scrub them clean is quite amazing. Disolve those compunds into ***** and then solidify them into elements and you can make them visible.
I have done research and everything points to scam.

Re: Ion Cleanse
What the scammers don't tell you about these devices (and probably don't even know!) is that 1) the undefined "toxins" they mentin have no unique properties, such as electric charge, that would permit them to be drawn out or otherwise be affected by an applied electric potential; 2) most substances can pass through cell membranes only through specialized channels, and few can pass through the skin; 3) the gunge you see in the bath is created by the effect of electrolysis-produced hydroxide ("lye") in flaking off external (dead) skin, which gets colored by absorption of corrosion products of the metallic electrodes, with additional colors generated by the "cleansing soaps" that are often added.
For a more detailed explantion, see http://www.chem1.com/CQ/FootBathBunk.html.

Wow. And I can tell from your post that you are well educated and quite informed as well. I'm glad it's working for you. I can almost guarentee its psychosomatic. Of course actually sitting down and relaxing with a warm footbath probably does a world of good, but the $2000 garbage they put in there doesnt help worth a damn.

I WOULD SAY YOU CAN KEEP YOUR ALMOST GUARANTEE'S TO YOURSELF AND THE FACT THAT I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO IGNORANCE DOES NOT MAKE ME UNEDUCATED. AS I SAID, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION AND SOMETIMES PEOPLE SHOULD JUST KEEP THEM TO THEMSELVES AND GET SOMETHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR TIME. I LIKE IT, I DON'T THINK IT IS CRAP AND OBVIOUSLY YOUR WIFE LIKES IT TOO, POOR GIRL! I WOULD HATE TO DEAL WITH SUCH A SKEPTIC AND CLOSED MINDED INDIVIDUAL. IF YOU EDUCATE YOURSELF ON ALL HERBAL AND NATURAL REMIDIES YOU WOULD KNOW THAT NONE OF THAT IS BACKED BY SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, IT COULD BE WHY DOCTORS AND PHARMASUDICAL COMPANIES ARE COMING A CLOSE SECOND TO OIL COMPANIES ON PROFITS. WHY TREAT SOMEONE WHEN YOU CAN MASK THEIR CONDITIONS AND KEEP THEM ON EXPENSIVE MEDICATIONS THAT HAVE MORE SIDE EFFECTS THAN GOOD. IT WOULD BE THE IGNORANCE OF SOCIETY.

Re: Ion Cleanse
i tried the ion cleanse for the first time yday. I was watching it closely for the start while the ***** was clear. I saw that the brown/orange sediment was coming up from the little black box that has slits on teh sides
so if anyone that believes in it coudl explain this to me it woud be appreciated. because to me it seems that thats where all the accumulated gunk was coming from.
feel free to prove me wrong!

Everything about how that works is right here at this page. You may need to have current grade 11 chemistry to be able to understand all of it.
http://www.physchem.co.za/Redox/Electrolysis.htm
In more laymans terms, the coloring of the ***** is coming from the "Cathode" which is inside the "mouse". For every atom or ion that is removed, one atom or ion of the cathode (whatever it is) is added to the *****. The electricity is producing electrolysis. The less reactive ions in the ***** are being forcibly removed from the *****, but the total ions remains the same.
Sometimes ions in the ***** can combine with other ions to create compounds, some of which are not ***** soluble and fall out of solution. That is the grit on the bottom.
All this happens with your feet in the ***** or not. Your dirty stinky feet would just add more random ions to the *****, but not more than a dirty sock would. Your sweat is totally made of ions - mostly ***** and lots of kinds of salts.
Its a scam. Face it. Total scam.

Re: Ion Cleanse
I don't think it's a scam. Used it this weekend with a bunch of other people at a trade show. We set a control bucket of ***** which turned yellow but maintained transparency because of the minerals in the *****. I have been doing a cleanse (cleanse smart) myself for 3 1/2 now, exercise and eat organically. My husband eats the same diet but has not been cleansing and smokes cigars occasionally. Other people sat down and participated after us as well.
My *****, after 3 1/2 weeks of a colon cleanse was the same as the *****'s color in the control bucket, except for a couple parasites (I eat a lot of raw fish, and barely cooked meats.) My husbands showed tobacco and parasites, but pretty clear. And some of the other guys looked like they had a lockness monster living in there. I mean GROSS, with chunks of ****.
I imagine that if you are clean the ***** will change to whatever color you local *****'s minerals would turn to with ions running through them.
I was actually relieved because it made me feel like my cleanse must be working, I'm in construction and breathing crud all the time.
I don't know about arthritis. But about 11 months ago I bent my big toe way under surfing in Brazil, it finally healed after 9 months, but in the ***** with the ions, that's what hurt/tingled. If electrons stimulate the cells and in turn promote healing, maybe it does work for arthritis. I don't know, it got something going in my foot though.

What I said was accurate. We did have what they called an array to scan the liver and kidneys, we actually were shown how to do the array in the right places.
And yes the Ion Cleanse is nothing but a scam, yes some people will believe it works for them, in that case its mind over matter, they want to believe it works so it does.
Generally speaking even after the 12 sessions there was no effect in a persons overall health, or whatever they were being treated for in the office.
It is a waste of money, and I am sadden that there are people who believe in it.

Re: Ion Cleanse
It's definitely a scam. How can a mouse like device pull chunks of **** out of your body. How do you confirm you have parasites? From the color of the *****? Because you eat raw fish or almost raw meat? Bullocks.
BTW, if you have parasites you better be careful, parasites are not a joke and won't be pulled out by the 'body cleaning' device.
For the device to work and pull ions out of your body it has to work as electrolysis, meaning a cathode and an anode being the electrodes, connected to a ***** source.
Your body should be on the positive (positive charged) and the device should be on the negative so that the ions travel from you body to the device, releasing some ions in the *****.
But with this 'cleansing' device both anode and cathode are in the device, making the ions travel between the devices electrodes. Without moving through your body and without 'pulling' out toxins ...

In response to Ion Cleanse! My wife has been doing the Ion Cleanse once a week for 3 months for RA. SHE IS NOW OFF OF HER ENBREL WEEKLY INJECTIONS. 1500.00 a month for these. Her Doctors at Duke University have detected little or no joint inflammation. So before you say it is a scam check it out for yourself.

Re: Ion Cleanse
Well, after reading some of the many comments on this page I will put in my two cents...
For starters, I think it is very interesting how Americans are so opinionated about everything! Probably the same people on this site who are bad mouthing ion cleansing are NOT out there bad mouthing Taco Bell or McDonalds.
Whether you believe in ion cleansing as a viable therapy or not, the facts are this...we live in the most scientifically advanced age in history however, we have some of the worse diseases proliferating! Hundreds of millions are spent on researching diseases like cancer and aids but, it keeps getting worse! Doctors will almost always tell you to pop a prescribed pill or do surgery. If you haven't figured it out yet doctors are controlled by pharmaceutical and insurance companies. If a doctor can't bill you for something because its not on his list of treatable diseases approved by the insurance companies, he will send you on your way because he can't make any money off of you. Pharmaceutical companies are only interested in that which they can patent because natural remedies such as hydrogen peroxide cannot be patented and are cheap and readily available to the public. That is the biggest scam in the country in my opinion. Plus, the pharmaceutical companies grease the wheels of the politicians! We think our elected officials care about their constituents but, in most cases they're living the good life paid for by big corporations while the average person is suffering trying to get by.
As far as ion cleansing goes, there is certainly a science behind it and anyone who is willing to read up on it can at least get the base line information. I think the most important thing that is left out of the comments posted by others is that when someone is sick, they become open-minded about treatment options, especially when they have no hope because the medical community hasn't been much help or has screwed them up even worse. I'm not saying all doctors are bad and there are certainly some great ones out there but, as a whole I think they only address symptoms and not root causes.
Being open-minded in life and not listening to the masses can bring great success much of the time. In fact, one great example is to look at all the bad mortgage loans that were going on. The "masses" jumped on the band wagon only to be left out in the cold and foreclosed on but, a discerning person watched the market and did not fall for what all the loan officers and realtors were pushing just so they could make their commissions. Health is the same way...its a business, first and foremost. You can't tell me that students would be lining up to be doctors if they had to pay the same money for medical school but, only make the money that a teacher makes! And look at the food we eat...its supposed to be healthier for us but, its killing us. Microwaves zap all the nutrients, our fish are farm raised, our meat is injected with hormones, our crops are loaded with pesticides, and I have to pay more money to get organic! Go figure that one!
I know what I say does not matter to the person who is not looking for health solutions because unfortunately, it often takes a disaster in one's life for them to wake up out of the status quo - insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting the same results. Its okay to try something new!

Two things to mention. Nowhere on any ion cleanse site does any doctor say that you will have any health benifits.
The ion cleanse will do the exact same job on ***** with no feet in there. So if it pulls ions out of the *****, why not just bathe in de-ionized *****?
scam.
|
First off, the FDA does not allow doctors to endorse things that are not FDA approved so that is why you probably won't see and AMA M.D.'s putting their stamp of approval. Secondly, pharmaceutical companies only promote that which they can patent. And when you watch the drug commercials they always speak of the side effects...so they admit to the side effects up front. Thirdly, I challenge you to look at how despite the advances in medical science and ******* for research we still cannot get a handle on things like cancer and aids, etc. Western medical science is always trying to treat symptoms rather than root causes. It is a scientific fact that the only way someone can get cancer is by their body being in an acidic state.

Re: Ion Cleanse
ok smart guy... how does it work? Electronically I mean. Keep in mind that there is absolutely no evidence that the ions are actually coming out of the body?
Lots of ions coming from the dirt in the ***** and the plates on the mouse and the dirt on your feet, but none whatsoever that a single ion came from inside the body.
No doctors have every endorsed this product. No doctors make any claims whether it works or not. They say so on their homepage.

Re: Ion Cleanse
The reason the ***** changes is due to the fact that salt is added, the salt reacts to the device put in the *****, that is it. There are no so called toxins being pulled out of your body through your feet. I know this because I put the machine in clean *****, added a bit of salt and it had the same reaction as if someone had their feet in the *****.
If someone wants to believe that it works so be it, they are wasting their money and more then likely putting their health in serious risk by depending on something that does not work.

Now, now. I cannot deny the psychosomatic effects of someone believing they are getting cured of some ailment. The mind is a *****ful thing. I believe a person can "feel better" after a treatment, I just don't believe for one second that it is actually doing any thing to your body except maybe giving you a nice relaxing foot soak.

Re: Ion Cleanse
Ok, this post is for anyone wanting to know the TRUTH about their health care, whether for personal health reason or strictly curiousity.
It is not for those repeated posters who have not tried the system but have continually posted for years about how the system can't work and who obviously have a financed agenda. (ie: they are paid by pharmaceutical companies to slam working natural therapies that may have a negative impact on their drug sales)
I sell these systems, I use them everyday, I have many satisfied clients. (salons, spas, clinics, and wellness centers)
Who all report fantastic responses from their clients.
Now let's try and clear up a few things.
The system delivers electricity to the array (device in the *****) causing electricity to jump between the plates or coils in the array.
regular tap ***** varies and typically does not contain enough minerals for the current to flow, salt is added to the ***** to increase the *****s electrical conductivity.
In some areas salt may not be required.
As for the colour, yes we have created the perfect environment for creating rust (metal plates, salt *****, and electricity) but some very important things should be noted.
If two systems are run side by side simultaniously one with feet in and one without feet at all. It is very easy to distinguish the two just by rinsing the tubs out the tub with feet has a permanent stain (like tomatoe sauce on Tupperware) the tub without feet rinces clean.
Lord Jag never mentioned that I wonder why?
also many different odours are noticed coming from the *****, most commonly rust, but also the smell of wine, tobacco, vomit, rotting garden, and glue.
aswell more time then not a smokers ***** will be dark brown and lighten up each session they have.
people with arthritus more times than not their ***** will be orange and lighten up each session they have.
If it is just the rust why does the colour get lighter each time you use it.
Happy to truthfully answer any questions you may have.
PS. Lord Jag if you'd really like to give it a real try I'll hook you up.
Yeah...didn't think so!

Didn't I? I thought I did. Of course your feet are dirty! There's all kinds of chemicals on your feet. Even a calm, warm footbath will allow your feet to sweat and exfoliate. You would very likely get exactly the same result with two systems side by side by putting the socks you wore all day in one and your stinky feet in the other. Sure. Dirty feet put a lot of impurities in the *****.
Who wants me to soak my feet for 20 minutes in pure ***** and then drink that *****? Why? Cause it's dirty ***** now.

Yep. For sure, no matter what you have going on in your life, your skin makes a poor barrier for holding it all in. Put your feet in a ziplock bag for a day and see how much ***** there is in there at the end of the day. I'm not saying that chemicals don't come out of your feet. I'm saying that it is virtually impossible for a device producing electroplating in a footbath to do anything that a regular footbath won't do.
You really want a footbath, Walmart sells one for about $20 that you can use all you want and it'll massage your feet with *****jets. There is absolutely no indication or claim or explaination that this device does anything that any footbath won't do.

Hey I'd give it a try, but I'll guarentee you it won't do anything more than a relaxing footbath will. It's just a total ripoff that you'd try to ask $50 per session (in toronto) for something that you can't even suggest to explain how it *might* work.
Here's something to note: Electro-plating moves ions. If you passes electrons through the ***** and into the body, you *might* have a chance of coaxing some positive ions out of the body. All you are doing AT BEST is changing the PH of the *****. Well why not add some bleach *or* ammonia to the *****(one or the other. Together are dangerous) You can pick up a huge bottle of each for less than $5.
You're selling a scam. Supporting your scam and calling people liars for not agreeing with you does not lend you credibility.
Oh Sweet. I didn't notice that I'm now working for the pharmecutical companies now. Who was it the last time that accused me of that? Oh yeah Safty-toes accused me of working for his competator too. Nice! Two jobs! When do I get paid? Oh i wish I was allowed to have an oppinion without needing to be paid to have it.

Re: Ion Cleanse
Here's a coupla tips:
1. ION cleanse is complete and utter bullshit. Your body does not work that way - biochemistrry 101.
2. Colon cleanses - no need to pay a fortune. Go to the drugstore and get Fleet-Phosphosoda or something similar to the cleanse you get prior to a colonoscopy.
Be warned that some studies have linked products containing sodium phosphate with kidney damage or worse. Before taking ANY cleanse, check with your doctor to see if what you buy is not damaging to your body.

I think I said something to that effect earlier on in this thread. It works because people believe it works that is it. It does not do anything to your body, and it really does not clean out the toxins.
Honestly people wake up here and use some common sense. Do you honestly think these toxins are being pulled out of your body through your feet ?

Re: Ion Cleanse
there is always skeptiscism, I can understand that.
Here are some steps we have takin' to eliminate that.
I think you'll find this is more than fair and open.
First;
We offer a 30 day no questions asked 100% money back guarantee.
We also have 3 month trials where by a business can try the system for three months on the provisal that they must offer their clients the first session free to find out for themselves whether the system (a) works (b) there clients like it and (c) there clients will return.
under these conditions if it didn't work I would be out of businiess in no time.
In fact my clients report that most of their clients who have finished their packages of 5 sessions have come back for more.
If anyone has a genuine health concern they would like to address the free session offer extends to you.
please contact me
PS. you'll notice this is the first time I have ever extended my service. and for no charge no less.

Re: Ion Cleanse
Hi everybody,
today I used IonCleanse for the first time. I was very skeptical because I couldn't quite wrap my brain around it (and I have higher chemistry, biology and physics than 11th grade by far...).
It was part of a Spa Package I got for my birthday so I really did not care about the price. So went in and had the idea of a nice footbath with no real effect. Before the IonCleanse I actually had a 20 min bath in completely clear *****, washed then my body with pure glycerin soap and then soaked (after showering the soap off) in a new tub of clear *****... So don't tell me I had dirty stinky feet! I walk into the treatment room and like I said- no expectations... about 5 min into the treatment, I felt like somebody is sqeezing my lungs towards my stomach. Very weird feeling I can tell you that. About 2 min after that started a mountain of mucus begins to build up in the tub. Very digusting looking! But the ***** itself was still clear, just mucus floating on top like you would see if you spit in *****. (Did they really hide that stuff in the little black box?- I guess that would be against any health code I know and I should sue that place for endangering my well being- after all mucus is a bodily fluid!) The feeling in my chest subsides and the mucus stops forming. Breathing is a little easier now... A couple minutes later the ***** starts to turn rusty red and my hip (where I had surgery 3 years ago) started tingling like crazy. Coincidence? Maybe! All I know is that you can't just dismiss everything thats new. That way not even the wheel would have been invented. There are still a lot of things out there which, with the present knowledge we have, are not explainable. Does this make them nonexistent. I don't think so. I work in the medical field. I practice "Western Medicine" every day and yet, when all the pills and cremes, ointments and injections did do nothing to even lessen my allergies or at least the multiple symptoms of them, I turned to a very (at least in the US) unconventional treatment (which is not FDA approved over here and therefore not practiced)- autologous blood injections (you take blood out of your vein and inject it without further adu in a big muscle like your butt- the mechanism is explainable although never really proven on paper- but it was worth a shot). That is the only thing that made my life sane again. Most peple would probably think that's a scam too. But only in this country. If it's not expensive it cannot work because the pharma industry doesn't get rich on it. The 40 bucks or so for one IonCleanse is not much more that what most of us pay as a copay to go to the "real doctor" anyway. So what does it hurt if you try a couple times to find out if it works for you. I for my part will. I'm still skeptical but my experience today was not what I expected, and a regular foot bath has never done those things to me. Believe me I had plenty of those.

Re: Ion Cleanse
I thought the ION Cleanse was a great unit until on day curiosity got the best of me. I was working alone in the office and said to myself I am going to run it with no feet in it. After 15 minutes the ***** had turned black just like every other ion cleanse I did on clients. I refuse to do them now and also tell others if they are thinking of doing it, research it first!

Re: Ion Cleanse
Hello Spice Rub,
there are some major differences you failed to mention.
If you check, the tub should wash completely clean with just a little rinsing, unlike a foot bath that has had feet in it, that leaves a permanent stain around the tub.
Also, why did the ***** not turn clear like you've seen it turn before after a client has had many sessions.
Further, you didn't mention all the smells that come out in a foot bath. Did the empty foot bath smell like a rotting garden, tobacco, wine, or glue like I'm sure you've witnessed befroe with your clients.
and lastly you state you refuse to do treatments now, thats a strong word to use and leads one to beleive that your clients are demanding to use it.
If your clients are demanding to use it, like so many of mine are, It's a pretty safe bet that it's working.
Is it ethical to remove a treatment or service from clients who are receiving health benefits and improving they're quality if life.
You stand to only hurt your clients.
If you think about it alot of the double blind drug trials are evaluated on personal testimonials.
there is no measuring device for pain.

There is no measure for psychosomatic effects either.
There is a measure for the effectiveness of this device, and for those that understand chemistry or biology, it doesn't pass the laugh test.

I know I'm Brining up the past, but more evidence to prove this wrong, I treat my animals, lizards, horses sheep cattle, Macaw, dogs, cats,ect.ect., with salt *****, usually epsom salts, for minor cuts, bruises, sprains, broken bones and even have them drink it to "clean out there systems" when they've eaten something dangerouse (I do go to vet's for anything that is deadly), and I have found that with no electricity it decreases the needed healing time, reduces the pain, and helps keep infections away without the "removal of ions", I even use it for myself, which, other than observation, is how I prove the reduced pain. This is a technique recomended by several doctors and even vets. The zoo I volenteer at uses it for their animals, and thats one reason why I started. This includes things such as arthritus, one of the horses I work with has severe arthritus, among other things, and I rarly have to use anything else with him now. As for the stuff seen in the *****, dirty feet, wich, even after cleaning, can easily produce alot more dirt when the pores are reopened.

Re: Ion Cleanse
ok, i have read all of this stuff and had to create and account to tell my story
first of all i got my aaok detox machine for free and use it semi religiously
this is what i can tell you:
1) my morning breath is all but gone
2) I don't smell nearly as bad when I sweat
3) the whites of my eyes are brighter
you can be as skeptical as you want, i was, i even did a session for my mom who doesn't believe anything! we put the array in the ***** for 1/2 hour and the ***** was just brownish clear after a while
i think sometimes if you don't clean the array, then yes, more stuff can show up
what makes it different with your feet is the oily ring on the outside of the trash bag I use, the oils that float to the top and the overall putrid smell from the ***** after it is done
this is for real, i am a discerning health enthusiast and wouldn't waste my time with this if I felt it didn't work
i just had an hour long massage yesterday and then detoxed for 90 minutes and the ***** was MUCH dirtier than it is usually
my .02
and to Jag (sorry forgot your name), go get a session and see for yourself, your negativity screams ignorance, this is easily read as more posters make points and your responses are altered...come on man

Re: Ion Cleanse Review
[color=black]Ion Cleanse Dexotifying Footbath Reviewed by Owner of Best Medical Spa in America, Kile Law http://www.blue*****spa.com/whoweare.html, Owner of Blue ***** Spa www.blue*****spa.com , voted best medical spa in America 2006 and 2007 experiences Ion Cleansing first hand. ...um foot
Whenever I hear about a detoxifying treatment I am both intrigued and skeptical. One of the newest "detox" treatments is an "ion cleanse" that requires an individual to immerse their feet in a basin of ***** for 30 minutes. They go by names like ion cleanse ionic footbath, ionic cleanse foot detox bath among others. The claim is that a variety of toxins will be released through the feet.
I was told the ***** in the basin may change color and consistency from orange, brown through to black -- due to the release of toxic substances through the pores on the sole of each foot. I was told when the ***** is changing colors, each color represents the part of the body that is being detoxified.
I thought I would give the ion cleanse a try and experienced a demonstration myself Blue ***** Spa's spa manager Mari Beth Hedeman and I both elected to have ion cleanse treatments. We sat side by side as the ion cleansing procedure started. We placed our feet in basins of warm, clear *****. An electrical device that looked like a filter (but clearly was NOT a filter) was placed in the basin. This device *****ed the ion cleanse machine. Within minutes, the ***** began changing color. Yellow, orange, green, black. The ***** was also bubbly. It looked like sewage. The woman providing the demonstration analyzed the ***** in the basins. We were told we were releasing toxins through our feet. The colors, according to her, indicated we both were releasing a lot of toxins and a lot of metals. She said something about toxins from our gallbladder being released. She also stated that she noticed "lymph" in the *****
I asked about evidence. There were no published medical studies available. And, the person providing the demonstration could not give me the name of a single physician who uses this device in their practice.
The biggest surprise was when I asked what would happen if we performed a treatment but did not immerse feet in the *****. Apparently, the ***** would turn colors and bubble up whether an individual's feet were immersed in the ***** or not. Hmmmm....... I thought the colors in the ***** were based on toxins being released.
Maybe this treatment really does something. There are several manufacturers of these devices and it is possible that there are significant differences between the systems. Maybe somewhere, evidence does exist that this treatment really does work. All I know personally is that when I asked for evidence it was not available to me
In my opinion, this treatment can provide a deep cleaning of one's bank account. The only real evidence presented about this device was the amount of money practitioners were making by providing this treatment to consumers.
This device claims to help from everything from arthritis to cancer. The woman providing the demonstration mentioned a several times the positive effects this treatment can have on children with autism. Of course, there was absolutely no evidence available about how this treatment could possibly treat autism. I was sickened by the thought of practitioners purchasing this system and promoting it to parents who are desperately looking for anything available that might help a child with a health concern. People who seek out opportunities make money from people who are faced with adversity in my opinion are the lowest of the low.
I am blessed with healthy children. But, I imagine that if the health of my children was compromised that I would try absolutely anything and spend any amount of money on any treatment that promised a cure or an improvement.
The public needs to ask for evidence of safety and efficacy of products and devices that make claims about improving health or well being. Sadly, there will always be some unscrupulous people, including many so called medical spas not owned and operated by physicians who evaluate treatments based on the revenue they can generate rather than the safety and efficacy of a procedure or device

Re: Ion Cleanse
[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']Ion Cleanse Dexotifying Footbath Reviewed by Owner of Best Medical Spa in America, Kile Law Owner of Blue ***** Spa www.blue*****spa.com , voted best medical spa in America 2006 and 2007 experiences Ion Cleansing first hand.
I thought I would give the ion cleanse a try and experienced a demonstration myself.
Blue ***** Spa's spa manager Mari Beth Hedeman and I both elected to have ion cleanse treatments. She also stated that she noticed "lymph" in the *****..

Re: Ion Cleanse
Exactly. And with all of the people suffering from everything from arthritis to cancer, and many diseases can be tested for and diagnosed, you should be able to have a medical exam before any treatments, after a few and after a lot and see medical statitical data showing people suffering less.
With the trillions (yes trillions) of dollars being thrown at hundreds of thousands of doctors world wide searching for something that might make cancer easier on people, you would think one doctor would have heard of this and gotten some of that vast grant money to give it a try.
Still no evidence? Well that can tell you a lot about how that experiment went doesn't it?

Re: Ion Cleanse
Years ago, Newtonian Physics was the only theory of physics accepted by any self-respecting physicists. Quantum Physics was considered a product of the New Age Movement (Einstein would have something to say about that) by those who were unfamiliar with Quantum Physics. I can't prove Quantum Physics to hardly anyone, and I can barely explain it to those who don't want to be confused with the facts - either laboratory or empirical. The same conditions occur within the realms of the medical field.
I am medically trained - been in the medical field for more than ten years. There is a great deal that occurs in the medical field that doctors really cannot explain. Some of it fits their reasoning; some of it does not. I know of doctors who call the ionic cleansing a scam while others swear by it. I have personally witnessed multiple patients receiving this treatment. Each time, the patients (both skeptics and believers)experienced documentable benefits. I cannot argue with what the patients report. (NOTE: R/O ***** was used and no substances were added to the ***** - go figure)
Is it a scam? There are pharmaceuticals which some people call a scam because they receive no benefits from taking them. That same pharmaceutical may have all of the scientific data in the world behind it to prove how it works; but if it doesn't work for you, or if it doesn't fit within your understanding of physics, as far as you are concerned, it is a scam ("you" referring to a general member of society). Also, claims can be made beyond a treatment's intended design which would make any legitimate treatment classifiable as a scam.
I can't fully explain to the satisfaction of any skeptics regarding how or why ionic cleansing has worked for so many patients. Since there are extremely educated, mulitple-doctarate scientists who cannot agree on evolution, intelligent intervention, or creation, I don't suppose this forum will ever come to a complete agreement regarding the validity of this treatment.
Perhaps the best advice came from my parents at the dinner table regarding food I had never tried, "Regardless of what you think or what you have heard, give it several tries before you make a judgement." To all who read this, if you want an accurate opinion, give this generally safe treatment several tries (shop around for the best prices or order something with a money-back guarantee). If the only benefit you receive is better smelling feet, then our world is a happier place.
And no, it wouldn't be a waste of time or money to "prove what you already know." The art of proving that something doesn't work is to prove what it takes to make it work. This is how you bust myths - not how you prove what you want to prove. Any other opinion is simply theoretical.
One last note: just in case we feel we have the best medical system in the world, European and Asian countries have been successfully treating the same ailments for many years that America still hasn't found a cure for. As a reminder, look back through the "60-Minute" show archives (early `90's) when the host questioned the head of the NIH as to why they would not accept a particular treatment for cancer which had a 98+% success rate in most types of stage IV cancer. The reply was, "Because it is not injectible."
Think outside of the box.

Re: Ion Cleanse
So... in other words, you can't explain anything about how it works. We just have to take your word that it does.
And your best argument that it works is that the pharmecutical companies are corrupt so you have to be on the level? Pointing out how corrupt a pharmecutical company is does not lend you any credibility.
It is a waste of time AND money because beyond a psychosomatic effect, there is no evidence of it doing anything other than cleaning your feet. Something that a 20$ footbath from Wal-Mart could do. At least with the footbath it massages your feet at the same time.

Re: Ion Cleanse
LOL You're funny!
I didn't tell you to take my word for it...I told you to try a series of them yourself in order for you to have something more than a theoretical opinion on it. After you've tried a series of these things, then you can have more than a theoretical basis for your argument.
Remember, according to scientific theory, bees can't fly.
Don't be afraid to try something different. After all, it might not work for you - even after several treatments! Then you can say that it didn't work for you. However, the rest of us can say that it still works for us, even if it doesn't work for you.
Flying bee's aren't a scam just because you've never seen one fly.

Bumblebees, actually, and it is a (very) old engineers joke.
