Indeed, it would be if you have a genetic inability to read.

I guess that happens when your mom & dad are also siblings.

According to...

http://nces.ed.gov/naal/estimates/StateEstimates.aspx

WV is 13% illiterate and California is 23% illiterate...

By the way, I did misread your post and I apologize.

I'm just messing with ya !

I doesn't surprise me that California is last in the pack.

I reckon we have more immigrants.

And the public schools totally suck, thanks to Prop 17 that limited property taxes back in 1978 to the purchase price of the home.

Unless you live in a wealthy neighborhood - your kid is going to get a rotten education.

Note the persistent legacy of the confederate jim crow south. This is the teabagger's vision. A massive underclass of ignorant serfs controlled by a high tech updated version of the planter aristocracy.

Why should President Obama care what happened in West Virginia?

He didn't win the state in 2008, and he's not going to win the state in 2012, either.

In fact, John McCain won by a large margin. Obama is just not popular in that particular state.

It doesn't matter . . . all Obama has to do is win the same states that he won in 2008 and he's reelected.

From the 2008 presidential election:

West Virginia

Red Counties won by John McCain

Blue Counties won by President Obama
