Not sure if this is a scam

this is the body of the email sent to undisclosed recipients which i received.

Opening new jobs in your area, have a work from home / office position and you do not need to pay any registration fee or pay for each form before you get a job.
Job details :
All You need to do is
You will need a personal computer,scanner,printer and type writter.Get a YAHOO MESSENGER
You will recieved Packages from courier Company with the content of Cashier Checks ,Money Orders and Newsletter.
You will be Provided with UPS or Fedex Supplies like Account. You have to go get average of 100 UPS envelopes from UPS store and simple envelopes from a local store near you weekly.
You wil fill the UPS slips and Envelopes addressed to the reciever of each Envelopes which the newsletter or Payment will be included and send by overnight through fedex or Ups.
Your salary will be paid at the cost of $1.5 per envelope sent and you will recieve it monthly ( Be informed that you will send over 400 envelopes weekly)
This job takes average of 20 hours weekly ( average of 5 hours a day )

yes, sorry, scam. they are trying to trick you into sending out fake checks. the people getting the checks have been tricked - thinking they are supposed to cash the check and send the money to somebody by western union or moneygram. don't get involved. the police can find you but won't be able to find the real criminal. you will be blamed, could be jailed.
