Do you carry overseas? #2

From: Miller Baron [mailto:Miller.baron@live.com]
Subject: Inquiry Needed

Hello,
This mail is to make inquiry on the below question.

1- Do you carry overseas? (though i already know of a freight forwarder that will pick my packages from you, since they ship lesser than any other courier and they are so effective in shipping my goods to me here in Queensland,Australia is estimated to be 3-4days) I have used their services in the past and it was splendid.

2- Do you accept credit card for payment(my U.S.A Master and Visa card to be precise)?
Kindly let me know your comments on these, before i send the items i am interested in purchasing from you.

3-Give me your website or your item inventory list that is available so to speed up the order

Thanks
Miller

Just had roughly the same email and been responding to it, is it a scam?

Re: Do you carry overseas? #2

don't. looks like they will overpay with instructions for you to transmit overage by western union, to the shipper. the original payment will be reversed, the shipper is not a real business, the scammer will have your money in a few minutes and you won't know his name or location.

Re: Do you carry overseas? #2

Many thanks, no monies (or bank details) passed on, client offered to pay by card and has been responding very quickly. The business I'm supposed to be dealing with is Phillip & Sons, address as given by first poster on this thread. Ordering 180k bags, approx £4k order + freight on top.

they like western union, so, tell them to send you the full payment by western union, and you will ship as soon as you get the money, using your own shipper.

the end.

Re: Do you carry overseas? #2

I've just had a request from Phillip and Son too....same wording, requesting prices and then placing an order very quickly. It seemed odd, so I checked out their address and found this site with a really similar outline. I wrote back asking for further details before I could proceed....but have heard nothing since. To be avoided I think...or is their some genuine business to be had?

Re: Do you carry overseas? #2

I went onto google maps of his so called address and it shows Bondi police station! Looked up and down the street and no sign of his so called business. Went as far as offering up my phone number when asked, within seconds I had a call. He gave me his card details by email and wanted to know if I was putting through the transaction that second. Told him I wasn't near the card machine. Heard nothing since.
