Lifeline Security

Lifeline Security is a dealer of alarm systems in California, can't say for sure what they do is illegal, but they definitely aren't the best people to associate with.

They are your run of the mill door to door company based in sacramento, I went into an interview (with 7 other people) and they mainly try to pep us up about the product, and pulled your typical song and dance of showing their best seller's pay check (about 3 grand). After the "interview" was over, all but 4 people (myself included sadly) were all that remained.

Needless to say, I didn't last long the day after.

What I want to know is what do you guys know about this company? Legit, or scam?

Song and Dance? Thats a scam my friend! Sounds like Scentura Creations.

They butter you up in staying and selling pointless garbage and reep your rewards.

Stay away

Yet, per gesecuritypro.com,
Quote:
Unfortunately, there are a few sellers of security systems, which have not been approved by GE Security Pro, yet advertise themselves as authorized dealers. If, in your search for quality GE products and services, you should happen upon such a dealer, we at Security Pro would be thankful if you would contact us. All authorized GE Security Pro Dealers are listed on the Dealer Locator featured on this website.
Here is the list for California. This company does not appear on the list under that name. There are 2 companies in Sacramento on the list, but different address' and phone numbers.

Re: Lifeline Security

Lifeline Security is not a scam. They sell a home security system by GE. They do not market themselves as a GE Security Pro Dealer. This is something specific and their marketing clearly says that they are a GE Security provider, not GE Security PRO. How is this company a scam? It sounds like this person just didn't like their job or sell very many systems to earn a high salary. They have a high BBB rating, which many other security companies do not have.

Re: Lifeline Security

Recently went to an interview with Lifeline Security and Automation in Concord, CA and was hired on the spot. They tried to make me feel special ** saying i was one of 18 chosen from like 150 or more for an interview. I went to "training" the next day. Found out that you have to get a special license when employed ** any alarm company. And they weren't gonna pay for it, I would have! That and they charge you for the uniform shirt. Combined, I would have spent around $100 (or more). Oh, and the pay is strictly commission, and from what I understood, if the customers who sign up for the security service cancel within the first 13 months (i think), then they basically retroactively "un-pay" you. So if you sign ppl up, but they cancel within a certain time, you're on the line for the payment you received. They may be a "legit" company, but they don't seem to have the best interests of the employees in mind. Hope this helps someone.

Other information: The entry-level sales job is door-to-door. You offer a free security device (GE) if you sign up for a new security service from them. You get $200 for each "sale." They focused a lot on how much you 'could' earn. But, personally, I think there is no guarantee that you'll make ANY sales, so paying into this job may be a mistake for some.

Re: Lifeline Security

I've worked for the company for about three weeks now and I can assure you all it's not a scam. It seemed like it at first, and I came close to quitting, because the first few days I made no money.

Now that I know how to sell, I'm making $200 a day. In the three weeks I've worked I've made $1200, and now I'm getting about one sale a day. Hours are long. They say it's part time hours but I'm gone from 2 - 9 every day, six days a week. But man is the pay worth it.

I agree that they should be more up front about it when they interview/hire people, but it's a legit company, has a better BBB rating than ADT, and I have a blast at my job.

Re: Lifeline Security

This company is a scam. Years ago signed with them, were we signed up for one service, and believe we were getting that service, only to find out a year later we were received a much lower service. Turns out after they signed us up they threw out the contract we signed, wrote up a new one with lower quality monitoring, and forged our signature. They then submitted this fake contract to the actual alarm company, without our knowledge. We are lucky we kept the contract we signed as proof.

They are lucky we did not report them to the authorities, the committed multiple crimes against us, not the least of which is identity theft by falsifying a signature.
