E-Card SCAM going around again.

You may have noticed in the last few days that you are receiving lots of fake messages saying you have an e-card waiting for you. Don't click on this link! It might run their executable progam ecard.exe, depending upon your computer's settings.

This is the method the SPAMMERs use to infect your machine and create their web botnets, which they then use to distribute billions of obnoxious SPAM messages.

Most of these fake e-card servers are located in Russia, the domains were created by the Directi registrar. I asked Directi about several of the domains, but they tried to deny any knowledge, even though the whois records clearly state they are the registrar.

Please don't let your machines become infected with these botnet programs. They are created by sociopathic, greedy criminals.

Be careful.

Cheers!
Monsoon
