Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

Has anyone successfully canceled their order for Google Easy Profit?

I got a number and called and they said that I had to call back in 24 hours because it was too soon for my information to show up on their system. I'm hoping when I call tomorrow that it'll all work out. I should have researched MORE before ordering this. :(

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

That's their typical delay tactics. I never used this product, but I heard of their tactics from many.

I would suggest that you would call them and mention something about reporting them to the authorities or the BBB.

Hope it works out for ya man.

I agree. The only way to cancel your membership is to threaten them with lawsuits and authorities. And do not forget to cancel you credit card you bought this crap with.

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

So, I called again today and guess what? The lady that answered told me that they couldn't find me in their system AND that they probably aren't associated with the company I'm dealing with, because "some companies" give their number out even though the company in question isn't affiliated with them at all.

Now the question is, is this another lie? Or is the company giving out false numbers? I would believe both!

They also offered to have me send a fax of my order to dispute the charges.

I'll have to cancel the card or something I suppose. Thanks for the advice!

EDIT: Five minutes after posting this i get a call from "Google Money Tree" saying thanks for signing up! I didn't sign up for them, at least i'm not aware of it... anyway. I told him I need to cancel and he gave me two numbers:

18668704257

8887051275

He said give them a call to cancel. I'll post back to tell you if it works. I'm sooo upset.

Would canceling my card affect my credit score? It's my first card, never had to deal with crap like this before. Lol. (and I was really doing a good job at working up my credit score... I will be very very upset if it affects the score!)

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

yes, canceling (closing account) your oldest card will mess up your score.

when my business card number got swiped, they just gave me a new number, sent me a new card, i cut up old one. that didn't mess up credit at all. maybe try that.

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

When you close your credit card due to fraudulent or unwanted charges, the issuer will transfer any activity to a new account number. This new account number should retain the original open date of the closed account and thus, not affect your credit score.

The credits companies are apperently aware of this scam. A spokesperson fom Barclays assured me that it was 'all in hand'.
That was about three months ago, I am amazed to see that it is continuing.

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

I have read a lot about this within this and other forums, and usually your credit card company will be very helpful because they are receiving hundreds of complaints like this each day.

If they do not give you your money back, turn to you credit card company and you will likely solve the problem faster.

Re: Google Easy Profit, sucessfully canceled?

I think these companies are starting to be scrutinized by the FTC and so they are finally taking steps to improve their refund plicies. If you call the numbers provided you should be able to get your refund
