Is this job legit?

Hello,

I keep getting emails from a gentleman named Richard; he tells me he would like me to work for his company as a home based job. His company name is Business links ltd. I canít find anything via the internet saying this company is a scam and Richard has told me on several occasions that it is not. He has asked me to pay £20 for the training home kit and I will have this refunded once I have made my first wage. The company pays into my PayPal account and I will most probably have to pay them via PayPal.

I am just not convinced it is a scam

Has he told you what you would be doing for his company, or is it a big secret?

How did he find you, other than by spamming?

When you repeatedly asked him if it was a scam, and he said it is not, what did you expect him to say???????

Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

A fool and his money are soon parted...

What is 20 pounds, almost $40.00 ?

Do they have a website? Or do you email him at a gmail or hotmail account?

Re: Is this job legit?

From my Experiences this is a Scam.. the Question "is this a scam?" while most will think this is a really stupid question you can actually tell a lot from how they answer it.
Does there voice change?
Do they give you a quick no answer?
Do they give you a big pre-scripted rebuttle?
Listen to there voice you can tell if there reading a script.
If they use Gmail,Ymail,Yahoo,Hotmail,Msn. ECT...
it's a scam.

The following are a few things that by Federal law businesses are required to produce at your request:

-Disclosure Document
-Information about company
-Lawsuits against the company

Get info in writing about earning claims.
Interview buyers of the business opportunity in person.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires businesses to produce Name, Address, and Phone numbers of at-least 10 previous purchasers (if asked to produce them)

If they can't/won't give any of that it's a scam and you should stay away from them.

Hope this helps

Were you able to find his website? Did you expect him to say "yes, it is a scam?".

And if you never make any "wage"? Are you an employee of his or an independent contractor? Did he say you have to pay in order to 'weed out the non-serious applicants' or because others have taken his training and disappeared?

Paypal can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal your money and disappear. No money in the scammer's bank account means absolutely no possibility of refund for you.

Sounds like you are paying for access to something, a downloaded ebook or electronic media. Such non-tangible goods are not eligible for refunds through paypal or your credit card comapany.

While it may not fit the exact definition of a scam as you will receive something for your money, whether or not that something is worth anything or will help you find a job is unknown.
