Re: military love scams

Glad you figured out you were emailing a scammer before losing money and emotions to a fraud.

Thanks for posting up that information on a scammer. You could also add his email address, phone number and the emails themselves, it will just add that much more information to make your post more googlable for potential suspicious victims to find.

Instead of w_atermarking those photos as 'scammer' you should use the phrase 'used by a scammer'. Chances are good that the person in those pictures is an innocent victim. Scammers love to steal pictures from myspace, facebook and amateur modeling sites plus victims will send photos of themselves to scammers before realizing they are emailing a scammer.

You can also look for other scam sites specializing in romance scammers to post your particular scammer at. In fact, you might even find him already posted at a site and you can add more information to the thread devoted to that particular scammer.

Re: military love scams

The man is Dan Raymond. I e-mailed him and told him he was being used as part of a fraud. He is evidently going under many names. I am an idiot that fell for it.

military scam

watch out for men who appear on yahoo messenger and claim to have seen your profile on a dating site. They will eventually ask you to send money to their son's caretaker who is in the hospital in Africa. They will say they cant do it because of the security in Afghanistan. The most recent scammers I have run into are
Joe Graves (shows up on line in a military uniform) and
Marc Jeff Isaacson
When I tell them sure I will transfer money after I run a background check with the FBI and will need their drivers license and social security number, they sign off. Not without trying to continue to sweet talk you though. I think impersonating military personnel is one of the worst offenses and these animals should just be shot.

Re: military scam

Thanks for posting up the information on those scammers.

You could also post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information.

Making a scammer's scam googlable on every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find is a great way to slow that scammer down when a suspicious potential victim goes looking for information, finds your post and then that potential victim does not become a scam victim because you took the time "get the word out".

Thanks!!

Wasting a scammer's time legally and safely is called "scambaiting". If you google that word, you will find sites where you can read scambaits, post up the emails and email addresses of scammers, post up a fake website, read up on how to alert a hosting company that they are hosting a fake website, ask questions and learn all about the hobby of scambaiting.
