any input on PASTOR MELISSA SCOTT

I saw the TV show late night with PASTOR MELISSA SCOTT
I visited her website www.pastormelissascott.com

it seems that she and her husband Dr. Glen Scott are self taught and founded a large church in the LA area. anyone know anything about them? they seem to be linguistics people. the preaching is good from its visual effect and Pastor Melissa has a stage presence. but if they are all self taught without recognized divinity school training, then I wonder as to the validity. they do take in money and have tithers, etc. is this a scam? is it like Joyce Meyers? any input is appreciated or send me an email at horseman@vcl.everyone.net

thanks. really such a website and TV show is no diffference than www.pasqualina.com that is a witch craft. these are self taught folks. can anyone have a website / TV show and call it a "ministry"?

Re: any input on PASTOR MELISSA SCOTT

The church was founded by Dr. Gene Scott. The church built up quite a large membership, and Dr. Scott used a-typical preaching methods which met the needs of many not seeking a traditional church service. A few years into his ministry, they started airing the church services on local LA TV stations. Even the televised services were unorthodox. He loved showing pictures of his trotting horse, which he put to classical music, but used Rock N Roll music in the church services. He was a big believer in using large white boards and by the time the service was finished, he had used 2-3 of them fully.

Melissa took over after her dad died unexpectedly of a heart attack. She basically has followed his footsteps of using the white boards while preaching, as well as the unorthodox style. As far as I know, she has never attended seminary, and if my memory serves me correctly neither did Dr. Gene.

Sorry I could not be more specific, but I haven't watched their TV ministry in several years. I only caught it every once-in-a-while, but mostly for the entertainment value.

God Doesn't Ordain Women Preachers!
I just read an abominable article written by a proud and stubborn woman attempting to justify rebellious women doing what only God has ordained men to do: preach from the pulpit as ordained ministers.

UPDATE/MELISSA SCOTT aka BARBI BRIDGES

If you Google Pastor Melissa Scott you will find her other name is BARBI BRIDGES. she is a PORNO star . see also BBE enterprises for XXX rated videos of her.. she is NOT divinity school trained. it appears she MARRIED Dr. Gene Scott her senior by 39 years. it also appears she learned his outlandish style of preaching. it is a scam. Dr. Gene Scott was investigated by the FCC and California state regulators over his church and donations. she puts on a very good 'show" but given that background I would hardly put much faith into it. even if she were a "repented sinner" she would have to have better credentials to 'preach the word" than listening to her husband preach or learning to speak 20 languages.. it appears she went from "porno" as one enterprise to "preaching" also as an enterprise. it sells. forget it.it is two steps up from a carnival barker show. it collects money--tax free I might add. My guess is that eventually it will be exposed and like Aimee Semple McPherson, of the 1920's and 1930's, be forced out of business or caught up in some "sex or money scandal". forget it. if the foundation of a house is not sure, then the whole house will fall down.best wishes
