Re: www.netwinner.com - Free stuff??

This site is a scam. After hours and hours of play, and redeeming enough points for $450.00, they still haven't paid me. This after over 6 months of promises that the membership would be paid. Now they have converted the redeemed monies back to points so that you can play some stupid raffle and those aren't being paid.
What a rip-off.

Re: www.netwinner.com - Free stuff??

NetWinner is most definitely a scam. Anyone who has unpaid cashouts should file with the NC Attorney General's office first and then the Charlotte NC BBB. Go to every complaint board you can find and post your experience. Contact their advertisers and request they no longer do business with this fraudulent site. Do searches for other sites that contain information about how to fight back. CompareRewards is one. (I hope it's ok to say that!)
Don't let them get away with it! That is what they're counting on, is that we'll all just creep away and lick our wounds and they can start over with a new generation of members. FIGHT BACK!
And above all, do not return there to play, that only puts more money in their pockets!

Did netwinner charge a membership fee? From what I have read it looks like they don't.

I have never seen a program like this work and I have seen many. Even though it is free you waste hours upon hours to see nothing at the end of the day.

They did not charge money, no. What they charged was time, and lots of it, by artificially slowing games down to maximize ad viewing. Which goes to the third element of being an illegal lottery rather than a sweepstakes, which is consideration. Google that and you'll see what I mean. They made money based on our ad viewing, their income depended on us entirely. To get us to do what they wanted and needed us to do, they offered part of that money back in the form of points to redeem for gift & ecards, instant wins in the games and raffles/drawings.

They got paid for the time we spent....we did not. And you know the old saying...Time is Money.

Nearly half the members were accused of cheating and attempting to defraud the company....per the 5/12 letter from S. Allen Dean. When we protested not being paid what we cashed out for, we were treated with contempt and individually charged with cheating, using bogus *stats* as *proof*. As a result, many MANY people are no longer giving NW their time and their site visits (read: ad revenue) have plummeted. Go to quantcast.com and have a look.

I guess our time was worth something, after all.

Well it looks like I wasn't the only one screwed by Netwinner/Prize Village, what every they want to call themselves. I to have been waiting months for my $150.00 that I won for playing countless hours on their boring site only to find out I'm not getting a red cent. There's got to be a way to stop these jerks from scamming more unknowing souls thinking they have a chance on winning money.

Re: www.netwinner.com - Free stuff??

Don't waste your time. I played faithfully every day since the beginning of the year. In march I had accumulated enough earned/won points to turn in $150.00 worth of Mastercard gift cards. It is now July and not having gotten anything I emailed them. They emailed me back with some BS on how they couldn't pay off now but they would "double" my points so I could turn them in for worthless prizes that aren't won by anyone other then maybe their familes. At any rate, which I really don't care as I won't waste my time on their (or their affiliate sites) they still had not credited me those "double" worthless points.

Re: www.netwinner.com - Free stuff??

I did file a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Justice, Consumer Protection. They have sent Netwinner.com's Matt Chapman a letter demanding a response and answer as to WHY I hadn't been paid for my Jackpot winning!! I have screen shots and all! I won the Jackpot, the BIG amount, but Chapman said it was a "fluke" and I am getting nothing! I haven't heard back yet, but the letter to Chapman and Netwinner.com was dated June 19, 2008. Still waiting for my money! Over a million$$$$$.

Re: www.netwinner.com - Free stuff??

They will just lie and say you were a cheater as they have done on so many other honest players. When is some one gonna hold these sorry pieces of crap accountable? Scammers and liars is all they are and they need to be shut down and locked up in jail.
