Anyone heard of or dealt w/ Clearlight Mortgage???

I've been contacted and they claim to be an FHA lender that can re-finance my loan without all the fees involved. I'm only responsible for paying for the appraisal.

Anyone else been contacted?

Are they legitimate?

Any word, good, bad or indifferent would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Rule #1) Legitimate lenders do not take money upfront.

Rule #2) Reffer to rule #1.

Re: Anyone heard of or dealt w/ Clearlight Mortgage???

I have no idea who Clearlight mortgage is.

However, having a no fee refinance is not uncommon. Your rate is just higher then those paying fees.

Some legit companies DO take a fee upfront. My company takes an app fee of 300-350 to pay the appraiser. They are a third party company and get paid for the appraisal regardless of the outcome of the loan application.

If you are paying the appraiser then no fee is needed upfront.

Are they the Clearlight at clearlightmortgage.com?

No Red Flags on their site. Check the BBB in NY.

Re: Anyone heard of or dealt w/ Clearlight Mortgage???

I noticed this while doing a search on the company myself...Have you had luck with this company?
We are trying to work with them and I don't know if it is just the holidays or if we are getting a run around but we have a hard time keeping in touch with them.
Please let me know your thoughts on this company ..at this time.

Thanks
