French Voters Give Right-Wing Schmuck The Big Boot

Look like the French People have rejected the politics of ideology, greed and brutality.

It would be a great advantage to our own economy if we could do the same thing.

But this would require Democrats to grow some balls, put on some boots and kick GOP Right-Wing Fascist Trash back into the sewer from whence they came

Sorry, but comparing Sarkozy to the Republicans is just as idiotic as those on this board who claim Obama is a communist.

I suspect the markets are more spooked by the elections in Greece where there are some scary people winning significant numbers of protest votes.
Markets have been rocked by Socialist François Hollande's election victory in France, coupled with the inconclusive result in Greece. Greek shares have plummeted nearly 7% while the French market has shrugged off earlier losses and eked out a 0.8% gain this afternoon. Germany's Dax is still in negative territory, though, down 0.5%. The London stock market is closed for the May bank holiday.
But France will be fine. They won't go mad and swing widly out of control, wont happen. And just because they have elected a socialist President doesnt even mean the people will elect his party in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

But my point still holds about the OP - Sarkozy was centre right, far far to the left of the US Republicans! So the comparison was stupid. People here viewing foriegn elections and politics through the bitter & parochial lens of US politics.

With this vote, France has declared that they, too, will fail. And quickly.

This is also another step toward islam and I bet the J E Ws know this.

Yep.

Excellent point about sarkozy--his idea of 'austerity'(the only chance for most of europe) was to raise taxes...LOL

The whole 'austerity' thing isn't working out so well for those nations choosing it at the moment in terms of turning those economies around. If you spent some of the time you alot to your propaganda outlets you might know if this shoog.
