Re: Investment scams

Counterfeit merchandise is another huge travel scam, especially for anyone traveling to Asia, the source of so many bogus goods. There was a day in the not-too-distant past when a fake Rolex was the height of Third World travel chic. But nowadays the knockoffs — specifically fake medications — can be downright deadly.
Nobody's going to get killed by a counterfeit handbag. But consumers are at risk of buying counterfeit products that pose a real danger, like knockoff pharmaceuticals cut with everything from harmless filler to motor oil, highway paint and glue. Other dangers include bogus electronics with faulty wiring or potentially hazardous batteries, as well as shampoo and perfumes (with fake luxury branding) that contain harmful amounts of bacteria.

Re: Investment scams

Greetings Prospective Scam Victims!

Hey mate! If the lure of fast cash in China is just too overwhelming to resist, at least let me check it out for you before you send even a dollar overseas. 40% of all "opportunities" in China are just quite clever scams designed to defraud foreigners. I found out the hard way six years ago. Now I help newbies avoid the same mistakes I made.

If you need anything verified or photographed in China just send me an email or private message.

I charge a flat rate - no hourly fees, and I just saved a guy in New Jersey from investing $150,000 in Chinavision. My name is Jason.

Remember, there is no legal recourse for foreigners swindled in China unless you are prepared to bribe people with big bucks.
