BCM - Best Choice Magazines subscrip choice not the best choice
I ordered the Family Handyman magazine from Best Choice Magazines on 12/28/06. I googled discount subscriptions and compared many, this one offered two years for price of one. My payment was processed on 1/2/07 by my bank and the site said wait 8/12 weeks for 1st issue. At 13 weeks I sent an inquiry as no magazine had arrived. They have an auto "contact us" page so no website available for email. I emailed them and got no reply. I found a phone number on my bank statement and it turned out to be a fax number. I emailed them again 4/24/07 and requested a reply. I got an email from them 4/25 but there was no message, just a copy of my personal info, name address, etc. I called Family Handyman directly today, 4/30/07 and there was no record of any subscription, they did not have any record of my name at all. I called my bank and requested they initiate a fraud investigation. My bank will provisionally credit my the money but it will take several weeks to months for them to verify. Hope no one else has suffered this with this company. I will deal directly with the magazine from now on.
