Andy WAS going to try to represent himself at his preliminary hearing, but the prosecutor confronted him with the mountain of evidence she has against him and told him that he would be wise to waive the preliminary hearing and go find an attorney!
The next hearing is scheduled for the 22nd, at which time if Andy does not have an attorney, one will be appointed for him.
In the meantime, Andy is trying to scrape together the cash to pay his Utah victims back. He is under the delusion that simply paying back the money will make the fraud charges go away. Frankly, we are encouraging that delusion.
